***Spoiler Alert***
I’m rereading Potter, Harry Potter. Finalyyyyy! I’ve been waiting til school finished (because I had no time), and I wanted to time it so that way I finish 7 and then go see the movie when it comes out. Although, at the rate I’m going I probably won’t finish the books in time.
Anyways… First, every time I read the books since the series finished I am still always and utterly amazed and impressed by JK Rowling. Genius. She literally had to have like all of the series planned before she started writing because as the books were being released she was still writing them, and there is so much foreshadowing in even the first book for things that happen in Deathly Hallows. Let’s begin:
Griphook. The goblin that helps Harry get gold for the first time. Love how he’s brought back up in 7. Also, the dragons guarding the top security vaults. The blood on the Bloody Baron. I forgot now who asked, but on the first meal after the sorting someone asks Nearly Headless Nick why the Baron’s covered in blood, and he said he had never asked. And let’s not forget about the snitch that Harry caught - er, sorry - swallowed in his first match. Hagrid being expelled, which we find out why in book 2. There’s also a line where Harry says he sometimes got the feeling that Snape could read his mind. And the fact that Dumbledore had James’ invisibility cloak. So Rowling must have already thought up the three Deathly Hallows.
I said it once, I’ll say it again: Genius.
